🔗An introduction to the benefit concert poster and merch artist:
🐛Diego Sanchez Maitret is a multidisciplinary, interdependent, and performance artist. Born in Puebla, his home is now in Oaxaca, where he sculpts at Taller Ometeotl along with Paloma Castro under the guidance of Ana Martinez Alarzon in Sta. Maria Atzompa, Oaxaca.Honoring his roots, he paints original Mexican handmade ceramics at Talavera De La Reyna in Cholula, Puebla. Painting murals is one of his new passions but watercolors, pens, & pencils have always been his favorite vehicles of expression since childhood. Be it illustrations, clay pieces, Talavera plates, or murals, all of them have something in common: the eyes. Through his work, he enjoys taking you to a fantastic, alien world inspired by nature and color inhabited by beings who are full of life and with the same curiosity, observe their audience through their expressive eyes. Each of his pieces brings this world to life since they’re portraits of its inhabitants and proof that – even though they live in his imagination, they do in fact exist.
