We offer a comprehensive suite of PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) options because we know that the best HIV prevention method is the one that seamlessly fits into your unique lifestyle, routine, and personal goals.

We offer three distinct paths to HIV prevention, ranging from daily routines to long-acting choices that mean fewer clinic visits:

The Daily Oral Pill: A highly reliable, once-a-day pill (such as Truvada or Descovy). This is a fantastic option if you already have a well-established daily routine (like taking vitamins) and prefer a widely accessible method that you control entirely at home.

Apretude (Every 2 Months): The first FDA-approved, long-acting injectable option. After two initial starter doses spaced one month apart, you only need to come into our clinic for a single injection every two months. It is perfect if you want to completely eliminate the need to remember a daily pill.

Yeztugo (Twice a Year): The latest innovation in HIV prevention. After a brief oral and injectable starter routine at your first appointment, Yeztugo requires just one clinic visit every six months for your maintenance injections. This twice-yearly option offers maximum discretion, ultimate schedule flexibility and long-lasting peace of mind. 

No matter which option you choose, our healthcare providers are here to guide you through the process, answer your questions, and handle routine HIV testing to keep you safe and healthy. We also work closely with you to navigate insurance coverage and financial assistance programs so you can access the care you deserve.

PEP stands for post-exposure prophylaxis and can be accessed through Radical Healing. The word “prophylaxis” means to prevent or control the spread of an infection or disease. PEP refers to the use of HIV medicines to prevent HIV infection within 72 hours (3 days) after a possible exposure.

PEP should be used only in emergency situations and is not meant for regular use by people who may be exposed to HIV frequently. PEP is not intended to replace the regular use of other HIV prevention methods, such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), which is also offered at Radical Healing, or consistent and proper use of condoms during sex.

PrEP is different than PEP, in that people at risk for HIV take a specific HIV medicine daily or an injection every two months to prevent getting HIV before an exposure occurs.

Birth control medications and devices are a great way to help prevent pregnancy and to help people with uteruses who are struggling with certain gynecologic issues.

At Radical Healing, you can talk to your provider about birth control methods, they’ll give you multiple options and recommend which one they believe is best for your needs.

Currently, two of the most popular options are IUDs and a device called Nexplanon® both of which are supported at our clinic.
