Hey, I’m DJ! (he/him)
The Foundation and Relationship:
I believe in creating a nurturing, nonjudgmental space where you can lean into your curiosities and make real discoveries. In my sessions, you aren’t a “case”—you are a whole human with a story that deserves to be honored.
My approach is simple: come as you are. I value a therapeutic relationship built on being real, honest, and genuine. We’ll combine compassion with a “let’s do the work” energy to ensure you feel welcomed, seen, and ready to grow.
The Work:
I provide empowering, trauma-informed support specifically tailored to BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. I believe in listening to your body and trusting your instincts as we navigate life’s complexities together.
Areas I’m passionate about helping you navigate:
- Identity & Relationships: Exploring identity challenges, alternative relationship structures, and sex/intimacy.
- Healing from the Past: Processing religious trauma, PTSD, and systemic barriers.
- Mental Health Management: Navigating Bipolar Disorder, BPD, Anxiety, and Depression.
By focusing on your inherent strengths, we’ll create a plan unique to your needs—one that helps you dismantle harmful systems and reach your personal therapeutic goals.
The Human:
Outside the office, I’m usually grabbing food with friends, discussing social justice, or planning my next travel adventure. With a background in the performing arts, you can often find me in rehearsal or collaborating on a creative project. Most importantly, I’m a proud uncle who loves cooking, photography, exploring new cuisines, and laughing—likely way too much.
