More About Haley Cohen

I am a queer cisgender woman, licensed clinical mental health counselor, ceramic artist, and anime lover! I’m passionate about supporting individuals on their unique journeys toward healing, self-discovery, and empowerment. My practice is rooted in both lived and professional experience, empathy, and a deep commitment to honoring your strengths and resilience as you navigate life’s challenges.

I bring a rich background to my work, including personal and professional experience within the Kink and LGBTQ+ communities and those navigating ethically non-monogamous relationships. These experiences inform my understanding of the complexities of human connection, intimacy, and authenticity. I also have lifelong lived experience navigating chronic health challenges, and I know firsthand the intersection of mental, emotional, and physical well-being in creating a fulfilling life.

In my clinical work, I have four years of experience working in residential care supporting individuals navigating complex mental health challenges and trauma. My background working in this setting informs my clinical work in the present and deepens my desire to guide individuals, communities, and support systems in breaking through barriers and building a sense of empowerment and liberation from mental health stigma. Within this work, I also have a deep understanding of treatment trauma and the ways that both our mental health and medical care systems have harmed many.

I work collaboratively with you to help you gain insight, build resilience, and address the deeper emotional layers that may be contributing to distress. My approach is relational and grounded in the belief that healing happens through authentic connection, safety, and trust.

I use an integrative therapeutic approach that includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) modalities. This allows us to explore and heal wounds from your past, identify and nurture your inner child, and empower you to break through patterns that no longer serve you. We’ll focus on your inherent strengths, inner light, and capacity for growth, while gently addressing areas of pain or trauma.

My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported—whether you’re working through relationship dynamics, personal growth, or mental health concerns. Together, we’ll build a path forward that honors all parts of who you are, allowing you to thrive in your relationships, in your health, and in your life as a whole. If you’re ready to explore your inner world, deepen your understanding of yourself, and begin your healing journey, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
