Hayley Cunningham (she/her) is a board-certified internal medicine and infectious diseases physician dedicating her career to HIV treatment and prevention among diverse populations, with a focus on gender affirming care. She was inspired by the LGBTQIA+ people of color living with HIV whom she cared for and learned from as a medical student. After graduating from the University of Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 2019, Hayley received internal medicine and infectious diseases training at Duke University. While at Duke, she cared for people living with HIV and prescribed gender affirming hormone therapy within the Duke Adult Gender Medicine Clinic. She provided and continues to provide trainings on gender diversity and the basics of gender affirming care for Duke medical providers and trainees. Beyond clinic walls, Hayley advocates to protect and advance gender affirming care through policy and research. She is also advocating at the local level to improve HIV support services in Durham, with a focus on housing.
Hayley is overjoyed to join the Radical Healing team, where she provides HIV treatment, gender affirming care, and primary care services to people living with HIV.
