I am a white, nonbinary, neurodivergent person who was raised in North Carolina. Growing up as a queer person in a conservative community has instilled in me a lifelong passion for social justice. My primary counseling modalities are person-centered and cultural relational therapy. I believe that my clients are the experts on their own lives, and that their identities have a profound effect on their experiences and mental health.
I also believe in the power of connection and vulnerability to heal us from isolation and shame. My main goal as a counselor is to create a warm and inclusive space where you can share your authentic self and experience unconditional acceptance. I enjoy working with clients with marginalized identities, particularly LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with clients with a variety of concerns, including self-esteem issues, identity exploration, trauma, and relational issues. Outside of work, I enjoy cultivating houseplants, crocheting, playing video games, and cuddling with my dogs. If you think I would be a good fit for you I would be honored to get to know you!
