More About Madison Brantley

As a white cisgender queer woman, I am deeply passionate about human rights and actively engage in social justice concerns as both a clinician and an advocate. Utilizing feminist and multicultural counseling approaches, I assist clients in dismantling internalized systems such as capitalism, misogyny, gender norms, racism, homophobia, and fatphobia that limit mental well-being.

My focus is on creating a liberating space where clients can feel seen and safe enough to engage with vulnerability. Presenting as my authentic self helps dispel potential power differentials and fosters the most therapeutically beneficial relationship possible.

With experience guiding children, adolescents, and adults, I address a wide range of presentations, including general anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, depression, personality disorders, neurodivergence, behavioral concerns, and trauma. My clinical interests encompass shame, body image concerns, identity exploration, assertiveness training, interpersonal relationships, and inner child work through dialectical behavior and schema therapy.

Recognizing the importance of preventative work, I engage in positive reinforcement parent training and behavioral management with children struggling with dysregulation. Regardless of age or concerns, I am honored and humbled when clients trust me with their emotions, identities, and life experiences. As a clinician, my priority is to meet clients where they are, making them feel seen, supported, and empowered.

To prioritize mental well-being and community strength, I incorporate moments of joy and rest. I believe in the healing power of play and mindfulness, utilizing creative interventions like guided imagery, body work, art activities, narrative techniques, and games. Outside the counseling space, my interests include ceramics, painting, woodworking, spending time with loved ones, exploring outdoors, and anything related to dinosaurs. I look forward to supporting you on your journey to well-being.
