Mike Solemar (he/him) is a family medicine physician, abortion provider, and advocate for justice and liberation in healthcare. Mike finished his training in family medicine at UCSF in 2021. Since then, he has developed expertise in gender-affirming hormone therapy, reproductive health (including HIV and PrEP), behavioral health, and abortion and miscarriage management, in addition to providing comprehensive, patient-centered primary care for patients of all ages.
Mike aims to reduce power imbalances between doctors and patients and trust patients to be leaders of their healthcare journey. Justice in health care means complete autonomy for patients and radical inclusion from providers and Mike does his best to provide both.
When not at work, Mike enjoys riding his bike, going on hikes with his family of 5 (including 2 dogs), and surfing when he can get to the coast.
