I was introduced and drawn to the field of Social Work / Psychotherapy from my Family and Community in Raleigh, centered around social justice and efforts promoting moral integrity. I have found fulfillment in supporting marginalized populations, and holding space to foster joy, healing, curiosity and love.
I have experience working with adults, children, adolescents and their families, supporting efforts in processing and understanding trauma / adversity, building resilience, managing challenging mental health symptoms, and strengthening healthy habits / adaptive coping. I utilize a strengths-based, person-centered approach, regularly incorporating DBT, ACT and expressive arts into my work with clients. I aim to build authentic and supportive relationships with my clients and commit to providing a safe space conducive toward growth and transformation.
I enjoy spending spare time with loved ones, exploring nature, cooking meals, and enjoying art and music.
