The Radical Healing Collaborative’s integrative care model now includes Physical Therapy — a client-centered, whole-body approach to movement and rehabilitation that empowers you to take charge of your health. Our licensed physical therapists partner with you to promote healing, enhance mobility, and support your physical wellness goals in a radically inclusive way.

What We Support
Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation
Our physical therapy team offers personalized treatment for various conditions, including chronic pain, post-surgical rehab, injury prevention, and musculoskeletal issues. We specialize in dry needling, pelvic health, prenatal/postpartum care, cancer rehab, osteoporosis, and more. Our trauma-informed, HAES-aligned approach ensures accessible, equitable, and inclusive care.
Chronic Pain Management
We offer effective solutions for managing chronic pain, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as manual therapy, movement education, and therapeutic exercises. Our goal is to help you improve your quality of life and reduce reliance on medication by building a plan that works for your body’s unique needs and strengths.
Movement and Mobility Therapy
We help patients improve their strength, balance, and flexibility. Our therapists work with you on techniques to enhance your movement patterns, prevent injury, and support functional independence throughout your lifespan. Whether it’s improving posture, enhancing athletic performance, or recovering from an injury, we meet you where you are in your movement journey.
Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation
Our specialized pelvic health services address issues like pelvic floor dysfunction, prenatal and postpartum care, post surgical trans affirming care, bladder and bowel concerns, and pelvic pain. We are dedicated to helping you regain control and improve your quality of life with compassionate, individualized care.
Flexible Appointment Options
In-Person and Virtual Care: We provide in-person visits in Durham, and remote care across North Carolina via a secure telehealth platform. Virtual visits are approved on a case by case basis depending on condition and concern. Your health care provider will work with you to develop an accessible, custom tailored treatment plan that maximizes effectiveness and efficiency in a warm, affirming environment.

Insurance Coverage: We accept most in-state and out-of-state insurance plans including: BCBS (all plans except Blue Value, Blue Local, Blue Home), United/Optum/Oscar, Aetna, Cigna.

Self-Pay: We offer self-pay options. Sliding scale is not available for physical therapy at this time while we grow our physical therapy program. It is a high priority for our clinic and hope to offer more programming soon.

What Is the Mission of Radical Healing’s Physical Therapy?
Our mission is to provide high-quality, accessible, and inclusive physical therapy services to all patients. Our diverse team of queer, trans, BIPOC, cis, white, and allied professionals works to create a life-affirming space for all people to experience radical community care and wellness. We understand that individuals with marginalized identities often face additional challenges in accessing quality rehabilitation, and we are committed to keeping the needs of BIPOC folx, queer and trans people, and working-class community members at the center of our approach.

What Conditions Do You Support?
We support a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain, balance and mobility issues, pelvic floor dysfunction, bladder and bowel issues (e.g., incontinence, constipation, IBS), prenatal and postpartum care, cancer rehabilitation, and more. We are here to help you move towards optimal wellness at any stage of life.
How Do You Approach Body Size and Weight?
We believe all bodies are good bodies and that all patients deserve respectful and inclusive care. Radical Healing Physical Therapy is body-affirming, fat-positive, and aligns with Health at Every Size (HAES®) principles in supporting our community of patients.
Do You Offer Low-Stimulation Settings for Medical Care?
Yes, we are happy to accommodate individual sensory or environmental needs to help you receive the care you deserve. Please indicate any specific needs on your initial intake form or call the office, at least three days in advance, and our team will collaborate with you to provide an accommodating environment for your visit.
Do You Offer Translation Services?
Yes, we offer translation services in 300 languages with HIPAA-trained medical interpreters to communicate with our non-English-speaking, ESL, and Deaf and hard-of-hearing patients. Please indicate your need for an interpreter on your initial intake form or call the office at least three days in advance.
What Types of Appointments Are Available?
We offer in-person visits in our ADA-accessible Durham office at 2011 Chapel Hill Road and remote care across North Carolina via a secure telehealth platform.

Do You Offer Self-Pay or Sliding Scale Options?
Yes, we provide self-pay options, but do not provide sliding scale options for physical therapy at this time. However, offering sliding scale is a priority and as the program grows, we plan to offer sliding scale services.
Can I Continue My Current Treatment Regimen When I Join?
We will work with you to review your medical history and treatment plan, to better understand how to adjust or support your current regimen.
How Do I Request An Appointment?
