Group Work
The Radical Healing Collaborative offers a variety of community gatherings and group work options, each designed to invite and inspire collective learning and healing.
All community and group work offerings are themed and include: Creative and Expressive Arts groups, Movement, Community Education and Therapy/Didactic groups.
Our group work is generally hosted at The Movement Space (2007 Chapel Hill Road, Durham).

DBT Skills Group for Queer + Trans Adults - recruiting participants now!
Join our upcoming DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills Training Groups at Radical Healing, starting June 1st, 2024. These groups are queer-facilitated and tailored to create safer spaces for the Trans, Gender Nonconforming, Nonbinary, and broader LGBTQueer+ communities.
About the Group:
- Focus: Learn and practice DBT skills to manage both everyday and complex challenges in an affirming environment. The curriculum includes skills related to gender expansive and trans issues.
- Benefits: Enhance emotional regulation, improve relationships, develop effective coping skills, and integrate mindfulness into daily life.
- Commitment: Full participation is required.
Group Details:
- Location: Radical Healing Movement Space (2007 Chapel Hill Road, Durham, accessible space).
- Modules: Covering emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance skills. Core Mindfulness is a key component of each module.
- Screening: A pre-group appointment/interview is required for all new participants.
Registration and Fees:
- Registration Form: Complete this form to apply for the group!
- Fee: $65 per session, with limited scholarships available.
- DBT Workbook: Recommended purchase (approx. $35) to reduce overall group costs.
Queer Crafternoon
First Saturday of each month from 12pm-3pm
Join us for a free, open studio art space centering the queer experience (allies welcome!) Bring your own supplies or use the ones provided.
Where: Radical Healing Movement Space, 2007 Chapel Hill Road, Durham (sensory-friendly environment with no bright lights and fidget toys available)
Cost: Free!

Registration: No registration necessary – just show up!
Creative Care Art Group - recruiting participants now!
Wednesdays from 5-7pm for 4 weeks, beginning 5/29/2024
- Where: Movement Studio, Radical Healing, 2007 Chapel Hill Road, Durham
- Entry: Side entrances lead directly into the studio.
- Registration: Fill out an interest form here!
- Cost: We suggest a donation of $30 per session to participate, but are allowing participants to pay whatever they can given their unique financial circumstances.
- Facilitator: Led by Sydney Rosenberg
